Excuse me Postmaster General, I think you need to have a closer look at your employees.

About a month ago, I broke my eyeglasses. I literally broke one of the earpieces off so I'm walking around balancing my glasses on one earlobe and my nose. After weeks of waiting, my glasses were supposed to arrive today. It just so happens that today is also my day off (bonus!).

Around 3:20, I hear the rusty brakes of my postman. I was so excited to get my glasses that I ran to the dining room window to watch so I knew when I could safely run to the mailbox to claim my glasses. After two minutes, he finally pulled away and I ran to the mailbox.

Did I find my brand new pair of glasses? NO! I found a disgusting, LYING piece of paper that said "Sorry We Missed You! Please come pick your glasses up tomorrow morning." Okay, it didn't say that last part verbatim, but seriously? I WATCHED YOU AT MY MAILBOX!!! So I ran inside, found the number for my local post office and called. I told the guy that I've been walking around for weeks with a pair of broken eyeglasses and that my new ones were supposed to come today and he said:

Postguy: "Ma'am how do you know they were supposed to arrive today?"
Me: "Umm okay first of all, I looked at the delivery schedule. Secondly, your mailman left a notice in my mailbox saying that I wasn't home when he was here to deliver my brand new glasses to me"
Postguy: "Ma'am how do you know when it was delivered"
Me: "I was standing at my dining room window WATCHING him at my mailbox and ran outside as soon as he left"
Postguy: "Can you please hold for me"
Then I was put on hold for five minutes...He came back and said:
Postguy: "Ma'am I'm seeing here that your mail is delivered between 1pm and 1:30 pm everyday so I don't believe that vehicle you saw was your mailman"
me: "ARE YOU SERIOUS? It was my mailman. I stood at my window and watched him put the mail INTO my mailbox"
Postguy: "Well I'm just seeing that normally your mail comes at 1"
me: "Well I stood at my window and watched him put the mail in my mailbox. Were you there to watch him put the mail in my mailbox? Are you saying that I didn't see the man in the USPS vehicle place the mail into my mailbox??"
Postguy: "Ma'am I will have him come back to deliver your glasses as soon as he returns to the station."
Me: "Thank you SIR"



He better show up or I'm going to do the same thing I did at NMU anytime I had a problem....I'm going straight to the President.
